David Byrne brings his Who Is The Sky? World Tour to Cardiff Castle this summer, following a huge sold-out arena show in the city.

One of the most influential and inventive artists of his generation, Byrne’s career spans decades — from co-founding Talking Heads to an acclaimed solo catalogue and groundbreaking work across music, theatre, film and visual art. His live shows are renowned for their creativity, energy and emotional impact.

The Who Is The Sky? tour builds on the spirit of American Utopia, blending bold visuals, cinematic arrangements and infectious rhythm with songs drawn from across Byrne’s career — including Talking Heads classics, solo favourites and material from his latest album Who Is The Sky?.

Joining David Byrne as special guest support is Anna Calvi. A three-time Mercury Prize nominee and BRIT Award nominee, Calvi is celebrated for her powerful, uncompromising sound and electrifying live performances. Her latest album Hunter is a fearless and visceral release, and she recently composed the score for the final two seasons of Peaky Blinders.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Cardiff Castle, this open-air summer show promises an unforgettable night — bringing together two truly distinctive artists on one iconic stage.
