ELVIS DAY IN THE BAY

 The Producers of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival have created a sister event in Cardiff Bay on Sunday June 1.

A One Day ‘Pop-Up’ event featuring:

• Elvis Gospel and Elvis Acoustic shows in the Norwegian Church

• The Elvis Trilogy show in Portland House featuring award winning ETAs Michael Glaysher, Arron Walker and Ciaran Houlihan, all backed by the Graceland Band.

• An Elvis Fun Run in aid of Struggles for Smiles

• Elvis at the Movies in the Everyman Cinema

• Free Elvis Facepainting and selfies with a vintage Pink Cadillac in Mermaid Quay

• Boat trips around the bay on the Princess Katherine with ETA Charlie Harper

• Non-stop live Elvis tributes in Giovanni’s featuring John White, Arron Walker, Charlie Harper, Darren ‘Graceland’ Jones, Ricky Jenkins and Juan Lozano.

Porthcawl Elvis Festival Producer Peter Phillips says. ‘We are not trying to recreate Porthcawl – nobody could do that! Giovanni approached me last year to look at putting an Elvis event together in Cardiff Bay and we thought that creating the Porthcawl format into a one-day, pop-up event would work well. Working with Cardiff City Council, we have plans to expand the event next year with a large outdoor public stage.’
