200 Degrees are specialist coffee roasters that are unashamedly proud to be ‘coffee geeks’ and proprietors of distinctive coffee shops.
Their stylish shop on Queen St seats 90 in glorious comfort and serves a selection of coffee, teas and food to eat in or take away. Breakfast is served from 7.30am and the shop is open until 8pm on weekdays, well after many others have closed.
200 Degrees are serious about coffee and recognise that the perfect cup is not just about taste, it’s about doing everything the right way. The finest beans are sourced from Rainforest Alliance suppliers all over the world before being blended and roasted in Nottingham, balancing the flavours whilst still being true to the beans’ identity. To achieve the best complex flavours and aromas, the coffee is roasted slowly and by hand and at 200 Degrees Centigrade. This produces a smoother taste with a deeper body and the freshly roasted beans are packed immediately to lock in the flavour.
200 Degrees coffee shops always serve freshly roasted beans and Queen Street has its own 5kg roaster on site, so customers can see the roaster in action while enjoying a real just-roasted aroma.

There’s a science to the art coffee, and we can teach it. So if you just want to learn how to drink better coffee at home or a latte like a seasoned pro then it’s time take a barista class at 200 Degrees.
BARISTA COURSES
An informal, relaxed and practical course with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and pratcie your new skills. You do not need any specific prior knowledge.
Our classes are taught by senior baristas and roasters and this class is aimed at both the home enthusiast who wants to increase their knowledge and skills, and for those who already are, or wish to be, in the hospitality industry.

Aimed at the enthusiast looking to get more experience and a deeper knowledge of coffee. Completion of the Basic Barista Class is not required, however prior knowledge/experience of espresso machines is essential.
This class is aimed purely at the skilled professional barista or home enthusiast, looking to move forward with their latte art skills. Confidence and previous experience of steaming and texturing milk to a high standard is essential.
