CARDIFF CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL IS BACK - HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

At Sophia Gardens for its 4th year, the iconic Spiegel Theatre boasts 12 mesmerising shows in the schedule for this winter Cardiff’s Christmas Festival is back and better than ever before! With a brand-new production taking centre stage, it’s set to be a very Merry Christmas for all.

This year, expect glitz and glam, with a line up curated with something for everyone to enjoy. Last weekend, Jack Frost: A Magical Christmas Musical kicked off it’s 4 week run in the Spiegeltent.

Here’s what you need to know when visiting Cardiff Christmas Festival this year –

THE SPIEGELTENT

The theatre is fully heated and will open 30 minutes before each performance starts, in order to give all guests a chance to find their seats. The spiegeltent offers a unique, fully-immersive show experience, with the stage situated in the centre of the spiegeltent. Enjoy seating all around the stage which sits in the middle of the venue, rich in red velvet brocade and glistening mirrors. For a more VIP experience, you can also upgrade to booths around the sides of the Spiegeltent, comfortable for up to 6 guests. LOCATION You’ll find the Spiegeltent in Sophia Gardens, directly adjacent to the council car park and National Express coach drop off zone. The postcode for the festival is CF11 9FH.

PARKING

Parking is available in Sophia Gardens pay and display, directly opposite the spiegeltent. Use former.invest.hatch as ‘What Three Words’ reference for the festival’s car park.

  • Go Your Own Way – The Fleetwood Mac Legacy – 21st December
  • “Tour of The Era’s” The Taylor Swift Christmas Celebration – 27th December

FOOD & DRINK

The festival has a fully licensed bar and food vendor in the festival marquee. Food and drinks purchased on site are permitted to be brought into the Spiegeltent to enjoy during the performance. Vintage food trucks will be selling artisan pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, and nachos. This is alongside a fully licensed bar featuring draught beers and ciders, mulled wine, and hot chocolate. Enjoy with family, friends and loved ones before or after each show, with a heated seating area outside to cosy up, and enjoy the full experience when visiting.

Cardiff Christmas Festival is running from 4th – 28th December 2025. Tickets priced from just £19.50 for children and £29.50 for adults, event dependent.
