Team Wales announces partnership with St David’s for landmark Cardiff City Centre display ahead of Commonwealth Games

Team Wales has announced a new partnership with St David’s Cardiff to showcase a major city-centre installation celebrating Welsh athletes ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.

As part of the collaboration, a striking 48-metre hoarding display will be installed at Welsh shopping destination St David’s Cardiff. The large-scale visual installation – equivalent in length to four double-decker buses – will highlight Team Wales athletes and build excitement among shoppers and visitors in the run-up to the Games.

Located in the heart of Cardiff, St David’s welcomes millions of visitors each year, making it an ideal platform to celebrate Welsh sporting talent and inspire public support for Team Wales as athletes prepare to compete on the international stage.

The installation will feature imagery of Team Wales athletes, the supporters kit which will be available to purchase in May, and key messaging celebrating national pride, providing a high-profile focal point in the city centre throughout the pre-Games period.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment between Team Wales and St David’s owner Landsec to celebrate national pride, engage local communities and shine a spotlight on Welsh sporting excellence in the lead-up to the Games. The installation will be arriving in the centre towards the end of the month, located close to John Lewis in the upper level of the Grand Arcade at St David’s.
